Making Craft
Making Craft of TanghuluAlthough the process of making bingtanghulu may seem simple, it actually requires a skilled touch. First, fresh fruits are selected—commonly grapes, hawthorn berries, strawberries, and others. The fruits are then skewered onto bamboo sticks to prepare for the sugar coating. Next, white granulated sugar is heated until it becomes liquid, and the fruit skewers are dipped one by one into the melted sugar, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Finally, the coated fruit is left to dry, allowing the sugar to harden into a crisp shell—this is the classic look of bingtanghulu.
